Testimonials

  • Nick is one of the hungriest young talents I have ever come across. He is voracious and intrepid when it comes to the work. Possibly a future great name in the industry, Nick still has a lot to learn, but his competitiveness and passion for advertising will definitely see him through. He's also not a bad writer.

  • Writers come and go. But true creatives stick around. And I have a feeling Nick's going to be around for a while. It all comes down to wit and grit - two sides of the creative coin that he's already got his hand on. There's no doubt Nick will be shining long after his contemporaries have gone.

  • Nick is a top prospect for any advertising agency looking for young blood. He’s a natural creative as well as a tenacious hard worker. Many of us just show up for work, Nick is one of the few that would drop everything for it. To him, it is an extension of himself and manifestation of his creativity. For anyone out there searching for a copywriter from their desks at the office, you can stop now. You’ve found your guy.

Without a doubt Nick has the perfect formula down to kickstart a stellar career in advertising. To sum it all up for anyone out there looking to understand him, he is a natural wordsmith with both an insatiable hunger to be the best and a heart that never knows how to quit. He has tackled big projects right off the bat and has worked on tasks of every nature (training his overall well rounded-ness).

In an industry full of challenges and heartbreak that breaks even the best of us, only time will tell if he'll make it the whole nine yards. My bet says that he’ ll run ten.

  • Nicholas is a promising copywriter. He is talented, focused, creative, and very funny. He isn't afraid of taking on big jobs, regardless of how difficult, and is always looking to help the senior team. I could ask him for help with anything, and trust that he'll complete the given task. Nicholas will be a great asset to any agency he works in. Given the chance, I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.

  • It's been a while since we had a passionate and driven intern like Nick. His storytelling and crafting skills bring so much to his copywriting that most of the time, I do minimal mentoring. Nick has befriended, worked and collaborated well with everyone around the office, making him a great asset during presentations. With just one look at his work, his hunger for creative opportunities and his eagerness to learn from his weaknesses, you know he's in for great things in this industry.

  • Nick is a team player and has shown great interest in learning how to better his craft every time he's here. He is very passionate about the work that he does and always gives his best for every project no matter how small. He always volunteers to fill in the gap, he was truly an asset to the team during his time with us.

  • Nick worked at VMLY&R as a copywriting intern for four months. Nick was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very polite and understood the ask of the brief quickly and did a great job with delivering the work. He has a good writing style and is able to adapt his writing, per the requirement of the different tasks. He worked on multiple client projects including copywriting for EDMs, web pages etc. Would like to wish him the very best in his future endeavours. The team will definitely miss him.

  • As a lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) Design and Media Programme, I’ve had the opportunity of teaching and mentoring Nicholas. He has created a deep impression on me from the very start with his strong passion for his craft.

He is inquiring, resourceful and tenacious. This conscientiousness allows him to motivate his friends to always challenge themselves. To use a motoring analogy, Nicholas is like the spark plug as well as fuel in their engines.

What is even more impressive is his ability to maintain strict ethical standards in the face of setbacks and an innocent sense of wonder in spite of successes.

Under the appropriate guidance, Nicholas will not only be an asset to any employer, but possibly a leader in his chosen field as well.

  • Nicholas was a student at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, in the Diploma in Advertising from August 2017 July 2020. My first encounter with him was during his first year of studies. Nicholas was involved in the exhibition for the Best Portfolio Show in 2018. He had come across as a self-driven individual who took pride in fulfilling his role in this exhibition, not just as a participant, but also as a part of the set-up committee. Nicholas was also one of the selected students to open the show.

Throughout the tenure of studies, Nicholas demonstrated positive traits in character and ability. He was always earnest in his learning, and this led to his selection as a member of the NAFA Talent Development Programme; the panel was confident in developing his potential. Nicholas' active participation in various school and out-of-curriculum activities gave him the opportunity to demonstrate his interpersonal and leadership skills. He had participated twice in the NAFA Entrepreneur Boot camp. Emerging as the winner in his first year did not stop him from participating a second time, where again, he emerged as the winner. This demonstrated the determination he has in challenging his own potential.

Most recently, he led a team to produce the branding and publicity materials for NAFA’s graduation show for the School of Art and Design - The eGrad Expectations 2020. This was managed at the same time as his final year project. The concept and visuals were well-received by various stakeholders of the school. His positive, can-do attitude influenced his teammates to persevere through a period of tight deadlines and intense demands. Nicholas is a promising young creative and I am confident that he will be an asset to any team he decides to work with. He is out to achieve great things.
